Jason Guilbeau's statement

This series is part of a larger project which consists of documenting the German territory in all its longitudes and latitudes. These landscapes are inherited from the time when it was divided in two concern the Soviet side. Between remains of forgotten monuments and other relics of another time, the series allows to see these architectures in the oblivion and banality of everyday life. Apart from the collective imaginary on Berlin, East Germany isn’t only about this city. With a rigorous framing, modest tribute to the Becher, and colors to bring it back to the pop culture, here is a Germany getting out of its sad and old temptation.
