Biography

After a career in sports and university studies that took him to the US, Sweden and Germany, Patrick Wack left a marketing job in Berlin to pursue his passion for photography and hopes of a less ordinary life. Fully self-taught, he worked from 2006 to 2017 in China as a freelance photographer in the fields of portraiture, reportage and commercial photography. Patrick also focuses on long-term personal projects related to identity, borders and mythologies. He has published in Time magazine, The New York Times, GEO, The Sunday Times, The Monocle, Travel and Leisure, among others. He is now again based in Berlin.
