My name is Daniil Demkin and I am 29 year old. I am a photographer based on Sakhalin Island, Russia. I enjoy photography, where I specialise in landscapes, travel, animals and nature, and have been practicing photography for 4 years.
I have worked with federal and regional information agencies and also mass media such as tass.ru, astv.ru, skr.su. I have also won many local and regional photo competitions.
Since 2015, I have been deeply involved with documentary photography, were the main theme is Environmental Protection.
“Uilta – The Last Nomadic People of Sakhalin” is the start of series of photographs – and a long-term project – where the main purpose is recording, for posterity, unique moments in the lives of people whose way of life is slowly disappearing.
